If you experience general sickness, common cold or flu-like symptoms, or if you are simply not well but you are not sure what the problem is, it is worth visiting your GP.

The field of general practice is closely related to that of internal medicine. Our GP practice is available to patients who present their social security card (Hungarian TAJ card) to our Health Centre. Our GP practice has the advantage of being continuously available: we are at the service of our patients with flexible appointments, and the medical exams and specialist services that the GP may recommend are also available in-house.

Certain medical services fall exclusively within the purview of the GP. These include authorization of sick-pay, issuing fit-to-drive or fit-to-bear-arms certificates, and prescribing specially subsidized drugs.

In addition to treating the patient’s current medical issues, the GP also conducts the yearly health check-ups and collects the patient’s family health history. The family doctor administers health screening tests as well as vaccinations.
