Cardiology is closely connected to the internal medicine, which is concerned with diagnosing, treatment and prevention of the heart diseases. Most common diseases in relation to cardiology are high blood pressure, coronary diseases, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias and valvular heart disease.

Breathlessness, chest pain, strong and irregular heart beat, swollen feet, exhaustion, dizziness, all these symptoms may refer to heart problems. Unfortunately, in our country, heart and vascular diseases are the leading causes of death, most of the time patients are symptomless. As the main driving power of our body is the heart, so it deserves extraordinary attention: not only do we have to treat diseases and the present symptoms, but also prevention, and regular screening as well is needed for diagnosing asymptomatic diseases.

During cardiac screening the specialized cardiologist records disease history and consults the patient about complaints, physical examinations are made, blood pressure is taken, and hereinafter tests may be done that are held for necessary such as ECG,  echocardiography examination, where appropriate ECG with exercise tests. In most cases in order to make precise diagnosis further tests may be needed, such as laboratory tests, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, etc.
