I graduated summa cum laude with an MD degree in 1980 and did my specialization exam in internal medicine in 1985. I earned a certification in neurosonology in 2004 and I became a certified physician in angiology, internal medicine in 2005. I was certified as a family doctor in 2008. I started to practice medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine of MÁV Hospital in Szolnok in 1980. I worked in inpatient care until 2008; then I started to practice as a GP. I have been working at the Angiology, Internal Medicine Department of MÁV Hospital’s outpatient clinic since 1985.

My medical practice focuses on internal medicine and non-invasive vascular ultrasound imaging. Vascular ultrasound is used in the early detection of blockages and abnormalities in blood vessels and in the monitoring of the detected problems. The information collected with this technology is used in choosing the most suitable method of treatment.

Over the past 30 years I have performed a large number of Doppler ultrasound examinations (measuring blood flow and pressure in blood vessels) on carotid arteries as well as on arteries and veins in the upper and lower arm.

Colour-coded Doppler (duplex and triplex) ultrasonography is a non-invasive method used to detect narrowings in the arteries of the neck, to analyse the atherosclerotic plaques in the walls of the arteries, to diagnose narrowings, blockages and compression in the arteries of the limbs, to diagnose varicose veins as well as surface and deep vein thrombosis, and in certain cases it can also detect problems in the abdominal arteries and veins. I perform both duplex and triplex Doppler ultrasound imaging.
